The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business

  • Do I need to provide any of the cleaning products/materials or equiptment?
    No. Not unless you have some specific products or equipment you want us to use.
  • How soon must I cancel my appoinment?
    You must cancel your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment date and time.
  • If I do not cancel my appointment within 24 hours will there be a charge?
    Yes there will be a fee of 1/2 of the total cost for the service(s) scheduled.
  • When should I begin service on my pool for the swimming season?
    You should begin service on your pool when the water temperature reaches 65°. This normally occurs in April of each year. The best way to know is to join our email list and we will send out emails to update you on the status of your pool.
  • When should I start to winterize my pool?
    You should prepare to winterize your pool when the water temperature dips below 65°. This typically happens around October each year; when leaves and debris starts falling. Joining our email list is the best way to know when its time!
  • What do I do if my pool is green?
    Bring in a water sample to our pool professionals at 12521 Reeder Rd, Forney, TX 75126.
  • Is my pool leaking?
    In summer you should typically lose 2-3 inches of water per week. If you think your pool is leaking, call our office and we will tell you how to do a bucket test. We also have in-house leak locators.
  • Who should I call to repair my gunite pool and/or spa?
    It is important that you call a company with trained service professionals. Improper repair techniques can cause additional damage or unsatisfactory results. Sunshine Pools has factory trained and experienced personnel to service your pool and/or spa.
  • Can Sunshine Pools help me with warranty repair?
    Yes. Most factories and distributors of swimming pool equipment require trained technicians to work on their products. Our staff is approved to perform the work and communicate with the factory to determine if your repair is covered and can help expedite the process.
  • Can Sunshine Pools help me if I am looking at buying a home with a swimming pool?
    Yes. Before you invest in a home with an existing pool we would recommend an inspection. Too often we are called out after the purchase is complete and find costly repairs that needed to be made before purchasing. We can set up a pool school with one of our service professionals. He will advise you on proper operation and maintenance of your pool. He will inspect your pool and equipment and give you a written proposal for any repairs or upgrades you may need.   • What if I do not want to do my own cleaning and maintenance?
    Sunshine Pools has many customers that use our service once or twice weekly to maintain their pools. They spend their free time enjoying their investment and have peace of mind knowing that their pool water is properly conditioned and their equipment is observed weekly.
  • Do I need to maintain my pool in the winter?
    Yes. Water balance and cleaning must be done year around. Ask one of our staff if your pool will require a change in procedures during the winter months.
  • Does Sunshine Pools service commercial pools and spas?
    Yes. Our staff can perform commercial renovation, repair and maintenance.
